Pull-Up: How to Do Your First One?

Pull-Up: How to Do Your First One? The pull-up is a great exercise for building back and arm muscles. It directly engages them whilst building strength and stamina. Moreover, the pull-up exercise is commonly performed by beginner and advanced-level athletes, especially in gymnastics, bodybuilding, and calisthenics. The pull-ups also help build hand strength and grip, which can prove beneficial for other exercises such as chin-ups, handwalks, handstands, human flags, etc., which are practiced mainly by calisthenics and gymnastics professionals. How to Do Your First Pull-Up? Dead Hangs The dead hang exercise requires you to hang from the pull-up bar with your feet hanging in the air without any support. You can either grab the pull-up bar by jumping from the ground, by jumping, or using a stepper, or by using other exercise equipment to reach the pull-up bar, hold it with your grip, and then, keeping your legs hanging in the air. Shoulder Workout

Shoulder Workout | Shoulder Exercises | Home Workout | Day 49: Today we are going to do yet another intense shoulder workout and target all of our shoulder muscles. Practice along with me for the best results.

Shoulder Workout | Shoulder Exercises | Home Workout | Day 49

Exercise 1: Back Crawls (100 Reps)

This is one of the most common shoulder workout exercises practiced by Parkour athletes globally. It might seem casual but it is really effective to build shoulder muscles and as such doesn't require any equipment. Here is how you can do it:
  • Keep your hands on the ground.
  • Bend your knees.
  • Raise your upper body from the center by keeping your arms straight.
  • Move in a forward direction one step at a time with the help of your hands and legs simultaneously.
  • Complete 100 steps

Exercise 2: Front Crawls (100 Reps)

More commonly known as baby crawls, this is yet another exercise from the routine of Parkour athletes around the globe. Here is how you can do it:
  • Align you posture in a push-up position.
  • Join both of your legs together.
  • Move ahead with the head of your hands.
  • Keep legs as still and straight as possible.
  • Complete 100 reps and move to the next exercise.

Exercise 3: Pike Push-Ups (100 Reps)

Pike push-ups can have many variations just like I have shown you in one of my previous videos, however, today we are going to do regular pikes. Here is how you can do it:
  • Align your body in a yoga dips posture as we did yesterday.
  • Bend your arms
  • Move your head towards the ground
  • Keep your legs joined together throughout the reps.
  • Complete 100 reps and move to the next exercise.

Exercise 4: Inclining Dips (100 Reps)

This is also a very good Parkour exercise for your shoulders. Practice this as much as possible and see visible results. Here is how you can do it:
  • Lie down on the ground.
  • Join your legs together.
  • Raise your upper body by keeping your arms straight.
  • Bend arms and touch your lower body to the ground.
  • Keep your upper body as straight as possible throughout the exercise.

Exercise 5: Front Shoulder Movement (10+ Reps)

Once you have finished with all of the above exercises, and have reached at this stage then your muscles would be exhausted and so would you be. But, the method is to shock the muscles just enough to get visible results. Therefore, we will lower down the reps of this exercise and try to complete it as slow as possible. Here is how you can do front shoulder movements:
  • Align your body in a push-up posture.
  • Twist your arms in an anti-clockwise direction.
  • Move your shoulders forward and in between your hands.
  • Come back to the original posture.
  • Repeat the movement until you complete 10-20 reps.
For more details watch the below workout video. Do share your comments after practicing the workout. See you tomorrow.
